Open Door Policy
Your interest and involvement in your child's learning plays a vitally important part in his or her success. We invite you to come talk to us at any time about any aspect of your child's learning.
Our weekly newsletters are an easy way to keep up with everything that's happening at school. Newsletters are sent out by email on Mondays and can also be found on the website and Facebook page. Please contact the office to add your address to our mailing list.
A printed class newsletter is sent home at the start of each term. It sets out learning goals and topics for the term as well as any important events/dates.
Students receive a written report at the end of the year. This provides a detailed look at your child's achievement, participation and attitude to learning.
Student Led Conferences
Parents/Caregivers are invited to attend Student Led Conferences during Term 1. Supported by their teacher, your child will assess and present his or her personal successes and challenges. You will have the opportunity to ask questions. While the intention is to allow an all-inclusive discussion between student, parent and teacher, you may also speak one on one with the class teacher.
Twice a year an informal get together is held for members of the school community. These are relaxed social events where broader information about school is shared and discussed. This could include building or property developments, new programmes, changes to staff etc. This is an excellent opportunity for our new families to get to know us a little better. Dates for these meetings are publicised well in advance in the school newsletters.
